Re: New to machine embroidery - need help

Welcome to the wonderful world of machine embroidery. No, you do not need software to download and store designs on your computer. However, your embroidery life will be much easier and more fun with software. One, it helps to have an icon viewer so that you can see your designs as icons on your comp...

Re: Change the stitch style

With the Enthusiast module added to Essentials, you have some control of stitch style, but my best answer is no. To alter a design, you need to have a digitizing program and the native form of the design file to achieve satisfactory results.
Hope this answers your question,

Re: Saving downloaded files on Mac

I don't understand the 'unable to save it.' Did you unzip the file? All you do on a Mac is double-click the zip and it will open a folder with the designs in it. They will be on your hard drive, initially in your Downloads folder. To get the file to the flash drive for your PE770, open it in Embrill...

Re: Words Created in Essentials to Dense

Make sure that you look at the underlay, also. If satin underlay is checked, you probably want to uncheck it. The density is how close stitches are to each other. The higher number means farther apart, therefore, less dense.

Re: Splitting Designs

I cannot think of any way that in the hoop designs could be split. You are working with sequential placing of large pieces of fabric, not to mention the zipper. It would be difficult, if not possible, to move the hoop and load the other design for each step. You can't stitch out all of one and stitc...

Re: Words Created in Essentials to Dense

The density does adjust automatically. Also, check your settings. When working with the letters, there is a stitch tab where you can choose underlay and extra stitches. Make sure that you haven't selected too many stitches that must be included. See the manual for more information. It is possible to...

Re: stitch editing

Thanks so much EastWitch2 for the link. Before responding, I searched the Tips section, but could not find that section even though I believed that I had seen it. I did not have time for a thorough explanation and I'm so happy that you posted the pictures to clarify.

Re: stitch editing

Before Enthusiast, I used the stitch simulator to delete parts of objects. The trick is to drag in the simulator to the approximate start of what you want to remove. Then use the left and right arrow keys to get to where you want to make a cut. Then press the Stop button. The stitch color dialog box...

Re: Transfer to flashcard

I'm glad that you are enjoying Embrilliance. With your file open in Embrilliance, the easiest way to save to your flash drive is to use the 'Save stitch file as' command from the File menu and locate your flash drive in the dialog box and click save.
Hope this helps,
Betty
