Re: PRINTING AND PDF SAVING OF DESIGNS

Hi, I think I know what your problem is. Go to Preferences -- Printing, and uncheck the 'Print Selected Colors Only.' This is primarily for printing just the outline stitch in an appliqué so that it can be used in a cutting machine. If you do not select anything, nothing will print on the first page...

Re: Re-sizing purchased fonts

As a general rule, purchased fonts do not do well with resizing. The fonts built into the program are built to be resized and stitch very well. I have enlarged some purchased fonts a very small amount, less than 10% with success. You will not be able to satisfactorally turn a 2 inch font into a 3 in...

Click the Contact Us link above and send this message directly to the company. I have never had this happen, but this issue needs to be addressed.

Re: Can't transfer file from Mac to Brother PE500

I am not familiar with your machine, but it sounds like your machine plugs directly into your computer instead of using a flash drive. You should see a mounted drive on your computer when it is plugged in, which is your PE500. From Embrilliance, do a Save Stitch File As and locate the mounted machin...

Re: Will this software work with my machine?

I used Eessentials with my Pe 770 long before Alpha Tricks. It's easy to add and manipulate lettering. I have to say it is much nicer having my purchased fonts added to the program with alpha tricks, something you may want to add in the future. The bottom line is Essentials is a well thought out eas...

Re: Adding a note to design?

I would choose door #2. I like to think of the BE file as having all the basic building blocks for the design. I would probably use that function even though I have a database that contains every design plus any info I wish to include.

Re: Receiving purchased fonts in multiple file types

I either sort by kind or by application or a combination of the two to isolate what I want. Have you tried selecting the ones you want to keep and moving them to another folder and then deleting the folder that contains all that you don't want? I use that method often.

Re: Can I do this with Essentials?

Also, it's not a good idea to leave the remove hidden stitches checked in preferences. I keep it unchecked until I need it. For instance, if you are doing an applique, the placement and tack down stitches may be removed because they are under the satin finishing stitches.

Re: Can I do this with Essentials?

Go to the preferences screen and check the box next to remove overlaps. The button on the main page just gives you a preview of what removing overlaps will do if it is checked in preferences.
