Applique features

Post by woodg1 » Sun Sep 28, 2014 6:21 pm

I am trying to decide between getting a new Cricut Explore and a Silhouette Cameo. I have used the cutting feature with my old Silhouette and it works great. I have downloaded the Cricut Design Space but when I try to bring in the files they are not the proper size. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to use this feature with my Essentials software and the Explore? Thanks

Perhaps watching these 3 videos will help you with getting the size right for the cutting file.
Just remember you have to save the cutting file to the right format for the cutting machine you want it for.

I have watched those videos. I have been using it successfully with my old Silhouette but can't seem to get the right combination for the Cricut Explore. That is where I am having the issues. I have saved as a SVG but it comes in really small when opened in Design space. If no one else has any ideas I will fill out a support ticket. Thank you.

Has there been any resolution to this problem. I am comparing the cameo and the cricut explore and am leaning toward the explore, but want it to work smoothly with my embrilliance software since I've already made that investment.

So, have you gotten the sizing to work correctly?
