How do I get fonts into Embrilliance?

Post by LisaSewBubbles » Fri Dec 18, 2015 6:04 pm

Embroidery fonts come in two general formats:

1. An embroidery format such as PES, SEW, VIP, etc.
2. The BX format

The format you downloaded determines the answer to your question.

If you have the BX format just drag the file onto the Design Page and drop it. You will get a message that it was installed and now the fonts are in the menu and keyboard accessible. Complete instructions are provided with the purchased BX file - it is usually included in the zip file that you download or on the digitizers website. Many also offer videos showing you how to use their alphabets as well as how to redownload previous orders in the new format.

For a list of digitizers that offer the BX format as well as a link to the video on how to use and install BX files, check out this link from our User's Forum: http://www.embrilliance.com/phpBB3/view ... =33&t=1256

To install a .BX file, double-click it (you may have to tell your computer to use the Embrilliance platform) and it will install. You can also completely unzip it, then drag the .BX file (you'll see the yellow and green icon) onto the main view of the program. Note: If you have a lettering design selected, you'll need to de-select it and then select it again to see the new fonts.

If you only have the embroidery format and would like to use these designs as keyboard fonts, you would need the AlphaTricks feature of Embrilliance. AlphaTricks will take the font and with help from you put it in the menu and make it keyboard accessible. Here is a video that shows how to quickly map an alphabet design collection:

The last possibility is you just use the font files as you received them - here is a video showing you how this would be done using the Merge Stitch file function: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3v4zWOnMqM

Use the Merge Stitch File command found in the File menu. Here you can select the letters you need and import, they all appear on the design page.

Now duplicate any that you need more than one of, manually arrange and align.

You don't mention the type of font. If it is a universally recognized font like exp PES DST Etc. embrilliance does not discriminate.
