Creating Circular text - applicable to ALL Embrilliance

Circular text - or lettering on a curved arch, can be created in all Embrilliance programs. Because this is done via the Lettering properties pane, it can be applied to any font that is in your font list - a built in font, a mapped font or an added BX file that contains a mapped alphabet.

Creating the lettering layout is relatively simple -
1. Create your lettering object and select the Circular text tool at the top of the Lettering pane on the right.
2. Type in the text you would like to create in the arch and hit the ENTER on your keyboard to set them in the design page.
3. If the type size is WAY larger than you wanted, it makes sense to drag the handles or type in a value in the menu bar to make them what you want at this time.
4. Use the Radius slider to adjust the arch. Depending on the length of what you have typed, you can go from a simple arch to completely circular text

You can use this tool to make some pretty cool lettering design layouts - have some fun with it!

Hi! I just purchased Essentials and cannot get monograms to look right. The center letter is not larger than the letters on the left and right. Any suggestions?
Thank you!

You might want to post this question as a separate thread, it will get seen better. :) Lisa's talking about making regular text go around a circular path, while you seem to want your monogram to appear more rounded.

In the lettering object window, under the Letters tab, if you select single line text, right under the font selected, there's another called quick style. IF you are using a monogram font, not a regular alphabet, it SHOULD come up in the rounded or diamond shape intended by the designer. But,if you click in the quick style, and select oval, it may help. These quick styles will also let you create monograms with other fonts.

You can also tweak the shaping with the bottom two selections and their slide bars, changing from curved to peaked, or whatever effect you'd like. Hope that helps!
