Density for 60 weight thread

Post by Tracy Gamel » Mon Jan 26, 2015 9:40 am

Is there a way to change density according to thread type? Such as using 60 weight thread for small lettering verses using 40 weight thread? :?

Hi Tracy!
Have you tried to stitch your small letters out with the 60 weight thread.
How did that turn out for you

I don`t think you can adjust the density by thread type but this may help you.

Read Lisa`s post on the following link which may help you with adjusting density by selecting the Stitches in the Object Tree and then adjusting the density.

Lisa`s answer is the second post on the link below.

I am not sure this will work for lettering but may be worth a try!
Let us know if this helps you or not!

Lisa,
I did try the design with 40 weight thread before trying the 60 weight thread. The 60 weight thread looked much more crisp. But there is 2 areas that needs more density. I have Essentials, DRK. On the Density Repair kit website, it says I can increase the density but, so far I have only been able to do it with built in fonts. The tree that you speak of? where do I find that?

Hi Tracy!

If you look at Lisa's Post at the link below you can use the scroll bar at the bottom of her Bear design Image to see the Object Pane and the Object Tree on the right side which shows all the objects that make up the Bear design.
Follow her instructions and see if that works.

Here is the link.

By adjusting the density this way it will adjust the density of all the letters that are in that specific object color.
It will adjust the density of the whole letter not just part of the letters.

If you need further help please use one of the links below to contact the Embrilliance Support Team for their help by filling out and submitting a Support ticket with the information regarding your density problem.

Here is a direct link to an open Support Ticket that you can fill out and submit.

The only other thing would be to contact the original Digitizer of the Alphabet or Font and ask them to adjust the density of the letters for use with 60 weight thread.
