started an outline..how to resume?

I was part way through an outline for a fill area and brilliantly (not embrilliant I'm afraid) decided I needed to save it before I lost it all...well when I saved it, my outline I'd started was now just a line..is there any way to add to my line to continue it into the outline I had orginally wanted?

I understand the problem... I am making a design that is shape over shape over shape and only 2 colors.. I did what was described with combine holes. I honestly don't know what is it actually doing..but it did help the design at least taking out one layer that wasn't necessary. Hmmm I'm learning som...

Joanne I believe that was done with Stitch Artist alone. I followed it and created my own bauble..but the problem is I have Embrilliance too and not always sure when I quit using one and start using the other. From my standpoint that is nice, but makes it hard for me to answer the question..and I do...
