I have tried to go to my files saved on my mac and click to open them, which then the embrilliance thumbnail is opening but tells me the files cannot be opened and then it asks for my serial #. Then it tells me that it is not valid...the same # I used to register and download. Am I missing an obvious step? What am I doing wrong?

Many confusing things going on here so let me clarify.

1. Embroidery files are not opened by Convert It, Mac (CIM) by double-clicking. CIM has browsing built-in so you first start CIM. NOw using CIM navigation features you browse you computer. As folder with embroidery are elected their contents will be displayed.

2. If you double-check an embroidery file and Embrilliance Thumbnailer tries to open then you have set, incorrectly, ET as the application to open embroidery files and you must correct this... a) select the emb file b) choose get info from the finder file menu c) remove ET as the app to open
