small readable lettering

Post by eleanorbest » Sat Jun 20, 2015 2:59 pm

I am making logos for a numbers of people and have to change the name only for each one. I would like to use Apple Chancery font and need to have it reduced to approximately a 10 point size with a readable sewing line size thread. The regular font can't be downsized enough to fit in and the text in StitchArtist2 is too thick when using either a single line or a satin in black #40 thread. Does anyone have an answer?

The only thing I have to offer worked for me...I used 60 weight thread and a size 60 needle, instead of 40 wgt thread and a 75/11 needle. I can't even begin to tell you how great of a difference that change made. You can find 60 wgt threads either on-line or at quilt shops. The ones at the quilt shop however are cotton but not rayon, so theres no shine. lettering that small you wouldnt be able to see the shine anyway, so what does it matter?
