Isolating part of an object

The manual and help systems are in place and mostly complete, but there are sections to add and typos to fix. If you find something, please let us know in here.

Isolating part of an object

Post by MacStitch » Sat Dec 24, 2011 6:52 pm

At first glance, it appears that an object with several distinct parts can not be separated. However, it can, and if you really search the manual, it is covered in a few words at the end of the stitch simulator section. I think this technique needs more coverage in the manual, including how to step through with the simulator and eliminate stray jump stitches. It really is very easy to isolate a piece of a design and delete the jump stitches using the stitch simulator, but I bet many users are unaware of this.

I agree with you here. I read the entire manual and took it to understand you can isolate an object, but couldn't grasp how to do it. I'd like more instruction on this topic.
