Saving Designs to USB

Post by sporty » Sat Jul 28, 2012 2:42 pm

I have a Bernina 580 and Mac. I can't figure out how to copy the design from embrilliance to the memory stick and pull it up on my machine with the corresponding thread colors. When using Art Link from Bernina on my PC, one of the options for saving is exp for Bernina USB and the correct colors transfer. How do I get the correct colors to transfer using Embrilliance?

Save as EXP+
In older versions that option was in the preferences, in the newest version, you can do it right from the Save Stitch File As... menu.
EXP has no color information. Bernina added two extra files, a .bmp and a .inf which give color to EXP files.

We have Brother and Mac and are new to Embrilliance (just purchased yesterday)

I used the lettering fonts and wrote 'Let's Ride' in circular
then 'stitching by Shelley
Mac and Brother'

A simple design which I saved in our preferred format

then I clicked on the saved file and dragged it to my desktop and dropped it

later after plugging in a USB stick, I clicked and dragged it to the NONAME USB stick

plugged stick in our Brother and my wife stitched it onto a shirt. Was all very easy!
